It feels like a bright line distinction that should have been made years ago. Sports journalists may cheer for teams, wear apparel, go to games, but there's a bright line and most people in that world understand it.

Something I think that is fascinating about like "Bible thumpers" etc is not only have they often never really read the book but they also don't have capacity to honestly engage with the text and be moved by it.

I wish Rise of the Ronin got more critical attention. Not because it is secretly an excellent game (it's pretty good!) but because it's weird in a way I think it's ripe for critical inquest.

So sad to see it get so many "7/10" scores and then totally moved on from.
