The important part is that you must attend to both your physical and mental health to get closer to wellness. That is really hard to do and I understand there are financial barriers. If nothing more, we can work on ourselves and just try and be kinder. 🩷

myself sobbing in a chair during Covid in 2020 about two years after I stopped and so, I called my doctor in a panic and she put me back on. I stopped in 2023. Recently I did some therapy too and it was helpful.

MH is kind of a taboo subject in my culture, so that was an added layer I suppose.

I work in mental health but in a niche within schools. I’ve had pretty massive anxiety since I can remember and my third year in my career, my doctor said “You are going to have a heart attack at 30 due to this level of stress.” She put me on Lexapro. I weaned off it and then found

For World Mental Health Day, I wanted to share a bit of my journey.

Two years ago, I came off anti-depressants. Things were going well for me and I was in a better position to deal with life's challenges. Over the last half-year in particular, my situation has changed.
