Out with the old, in with the new

This upset some people because they’re mad their favorite movie monster had feathers, as if updated paleoart ruins cool creature design.

I love continued change and how paleo artists interpret the science. Each discovery makes ancient animals seem more alive.

One sickle claw digs into the loose skin of the naked deinonychus, which is pale grey browns with dark brown stripe accents.

Coyote and fam baking cookies (don’t worry the coyote is fireproof and needs no glove)

In the studio with windows open for a breeze (in January wtf), burning some incense (my “deep animal” blend), treated wood with lemon oil and beeswax (bonus turpentine smell), other surfaces with my oakmoss sandalwood spray, and wearing aged vanilla attar while the occasional orchid scent wafts by.

I like to decorate cookies as if a glitter factory exploded.

Some fanart from the old book series “The Alien Chronicles: The Golden One”. This is my take on the main characters from the first book, when they are still young.
