Leaded fuel was banned around the world in 2021.

But lead can still be found in paint used in:

Young children: most vulnerable because their nervous systems are still developing; they absorb 4–5 times more lead than adults, which can cause intellectual disability, poor school performance, and behavioural issues.

Adults: lead exposure increases the risk of ischemic heart disease and stroke.

Pregnant women: lead exposure damages many organs and affects the developing fetus.

16 October 1943 | Raid of the Ghetto of Rome. 365 German security & police forces sealed off the area of the ghetto. 1,024 Jewish men, women, and children were arrested. Two days later they were deported to #Auschwitz.

Only 16 of them survived the war.
