Talaani grew up poor in the Shroud. While her mother was a superb hunter, selling the better cuts & pelts brought in more money. So alongside what vegetables they could grow or forage, it was tougher cuts of meat and offal that filled her plate. She still hates liver

Biggest thing I've considered Canon and many others echo this: Elezen have extremely sharp hearing and their ears are also sensitive to touch.
I also think Elezen ears do wiggle very subtly when they are being expressive. They droop when sad, perk up when someone calls out to them, etc. >
