A sort of lazy collage I made of actors reading ww1 poetry mixed with lo-fi.
Pretty niche.

obviously I'm not suggesting doing this, but couldn't you double the loss by then selling this at a reduced rate to make another 35 mill unsellable while stocks last. and, then use the profit to fund more interceptions?
again, not saying it is ethical, but it would be an efficient use of resources.

I once had a stats lecturer deliver his lectures sat on a chair with a sick bucket next to him.
When will he get his statue...

One thing I've always wondered is what our economy would look like without speculative profits on things that may at some point exist.
Just the cows and jobs and machines and money as, say, gold coins.
We are still more technically advanced than 1600s. So why would we be back in the stone age? Dunno

Trump announced an additional 100% tariff on Chinese goods on top of existing ones, triggering another market crash.

A hat. And running from shop to shop.
It can be beautiful when dressed for it.
But it is an aquired taste.

The risk with such material and political plans is they need active opposition so the plans can keep being reality tested.
This could be achieved by including a rear sector of Ukraine, perhaps one with EU assets. This would ensure learning occurs early and so large sums arent wasted on bad sytems.

weird to be in an unconventional war.

So far, putin can kill people on UK soil if its unconventional.
Close airports, destroy warehouses, deliver firebombs, nerf electricity and comms - all if its unconventionally done - no rocket fuel allowed!
Oh and hit civil admin and data...
if done digitally

Russia is attempting to jam UK military satellites on a regular basis, according to the head of the UK Space Command.

Are hot water bottles or heated rocks possible?
The idea being that the heat goes into something with mass that you can hold/be close to rather than the air and out of vents.
Is fire possible or is fuel limited and exercise left as the only source of heat?

This is my point.
I dont care how cool your product is.
I want to know you can produce it in serious amounts when your logistics is under fire.

Anything else is security theatre that we cannot afford.

Only trust those building in Ukraine.

Alarm. Alarm. The governor of Belgorod region has urged residents to “properly assess the situation” and secure alternative energy sources amid ongoing power outages.

Lights off, Belgorod.

Both Germany and us.
At one point we said cyber actions could be seen as military threats. We need an outcomes based assessment of threat, not judge it based on the medium.
Though sadly you cant blast these out of orbit. Though you could 'accidentally' fry them.

Russian satellites have been stalking British military satellites on a weekly basis, Major General Paul T Tedman, Commander of UK Space Command, told the BBC.

The Russian satellites have “got payloads on board that can see our satellites and are trying to collect information from them.”

@prestonstew.bsky.social did an interesting cover of what appears to me to be Trumps planned morality police.
It all depends who gets to judge what is extreme.
Im envisioning ai scraping to find social deviation. A digital Gilead.

Indeed.
Safe nest first.
Housing crisis underpins almost everything.
When a house costs 3-5 years salary again, the shift will change the economy and lead to more spending power for childcare etc.

Did you notice trump drew western tradition "from sparta to rome, the british empire to the united states"?
Is that common?

Did you notice he drew his historical lineage from sparta not greece?

Thats how democracy works, vote em out. The key is persuading others that theres someone better. Or moving to a place with better voters.

His self admiration needs to be blurred its so pornographic.

He just wants these generals to tell him he is a good boy.

The daddy issues are palpable.

"I would have cut my prices. I would have taken from you every customer you had. I would have given the public a better product at a lower price, and I would have driven you out of business"
Except we dont get that better product. Largely temu shows what happens in an unregulated market.

From what I see, countries that have the ID card arent better on illegal work nor is there any evident economic boom.
Im always yammering on about how much id prefer a social media site that you can only use by proving you are human, so Im not against government id, but IDs arent a fix for crime.

Indeed. Have friends from there. Does sometimes feel like if influence operations were conducted by steel robots we might actually pay attention and do more.
I mean because we would have a visual that triggers us more, even though the outcome us the same.
Not my best made point but still valid.

Damn, interesting.
