I run the writing discord Haven.
I'd describe it to you, but that would violate bsky's terms and conditions, so you should just go read it instead

This is the thing that makes Ria and Astarion work for me. He does not shy away from her ruthlessness. Around him, she can stop acting.

But one feels like punishment and blaming bad, lazy, kids, and the other requires acknowledging adults' role in creating a dystopian environment not ideal for learning.

Bards and Rogues synergize so, so well. Ria and Astarion bonded over more than just how nicely she could set him up in battle, but it certainly didn't hurt. Also, he thinks vicious mockery is funny.
How does this affect their relationship? Do they accept each other's classes or dislike at all? Do they teach each other about their own class? And if they have the same class: How does it work?

#tavqotd Did your tav/durge get Volo'd, or was it someone else who unfortunately suffered him? Does anybody get the hag eye in your party?
No one took the hag eye because Ria would have smacked that person so hard their grandparents would feel it. No one got Volo'd either

Ria thinks Astarion is incredibly brave and staggeringly resilient and respects the hell out of him for both things. It inspires her to fight back against her own fears.

Ria and Astarion usually play/have sex without power play because of Astarion's history. But Ria *does not* sub. Beyond that, acts are very, very flexible.
Day 2:
Bedroom dynamics!
Who usually does what when having sex?
Do they switch it up, or are they more comfortable with a specific role?
Bonus for the polycules and hemipeens: have they ever experienced double penetration?

Ria and Astarion had matching 'oh no' moments in the wake of the 'I'll be your mirror' conversation. Neither one of them was prepared to deal with the feelings yet. Astarion was braver!
Day 2:
Who fell first?
Who fell harder?
Did they recognize their feelings right away, or were they in denial?
(disclaimer for the polycules: answer for as many LIs as your Tav/Durge has!)

Ria has her harp and her emotional support music box. She loves them for their ability to create music/let her create music, because of the fond memories attached to the harp. The music box...
Does your tav/durge has any item they feel attachment to for seemingly no reason? Or if there is a reason, what is it? And I mean ANY item, from kitchen utensils to gems.

Ria said yes to Astarion's offer in part to relieve stress. She's also fond of it as a way of being close to her partner, and she's not big on casual sex in general

Ria is a fan of small talk as Social Noises. She reaches out to people in her space because that's what you *do* to have a community (see: Zevlor, tieflings). Sharing her time and space is a sign she wants to be friends

Ria scatters soft lights through her living space. She hasn't been settled in one area where she could celebrate since her university days, so she takes a few goes to figure out what she likes— well, what she and her community like

How does your Tav/Durge like to decorate for the holidays? Bright and cheery? White and grey/beige? Not at all? Do they cover their entire living space with decorations or keep it simple and classy?

♥️B: How does your Tav/Durge feel about literature in setting?
Ria *loves* reading. She's even less of a romance novel reader than I am and has a fondness for tragedies and really anything she can get her teeth into.
What existing literature describes your Tav/Durge and their relationship? Why that book?
Outlander, Hunger Games, The Princess Bride, etc [any published work]

When Ria meets a wizard who DOESN'T act like a self-important, elitist, condescending windbag, she will revise her opinion of them as a group.
A question for the magic using tavs/durges, do they have any prejudices against other types of magic users?

In the moment, Ria did not have space to realize what a sad picture he made standing around waiting for Astarion to wander in to get him. She saw the danger he presented and a horrible mirror of what Astarion could become.

Ria went through the Selûnite temple— first thing she found, but also the most controlled entry point. She was not a fan of going back, and having sturdy walls in the way helped with the first few minutes

Ria's a woman, but in the context of a Seldarine drow living on the surface. She is aware that the way people see her does not entirely match up with her internal experience.
