How can one be accused of assaulting a federal officer (ICE) if the person hasn’t been shown actual federal credentials during the encounter?

This essentially means ANYONE can kidnap you, and you assume that fighting back when some random stranger forces you into a car could get you arrested.

A producer and editor for WGN-TV was violently forced to the ground this morning by two Border Patrol agents, before having her hands cuffed behind her back, during an ICE action in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Debbie Brockman has worked for the local television station since 2011.

A DHS spokesperson said that Debbie Brockman was placed under arrest for ‘assault on a federal law enforcement officer,’ claiming the WGN employee threw objects at the agent.

The Trump administration is offering $60K in student loan forgiveness as a recruitment tool for ICE, which just proves fighting Biden on student loan relief was never about the loans or “paying your own debt.” It was about who was offering it and who it would’ve helped.

After staying up too late, I am up far too early. This has got to stop. I sleep in three hour increments.This may be completely normal.

Thankfully, my eating is steady, as are my medications. But! It’s exhausting.

So… gonna try some extra walking, the weather is agreeable.
