it may be called blacksky but you dont have to be black to use it. go migrate your account, go use their client. very soon they will have full running bluesky infrastructure that doesnt depend on bluesky the company in any way or need to adhere to their policies in any way. please go support them

if youre worried about bsky policies affecting your ability to use this platform please please look into all the options you have for avoiding that. the way bluesky works under the hood means you have a lot more control over your own account. if you arent that technically minded go look at blacksky

Correct! This week we built a fallback mechanism to query slingshot, constellation, and the PDS directly.

For now it is limited "read only". Soon enough you'll be able to interact with Link on blacksky.community

post cid→community-note record mapping: wouldn't one need to enumerate the entire repo's worth of community-note records to find one without a pre-existing index (i.e. an endpoint/AppView/constellation backlink)?

Label + backlink from the labeler's repo... Those backlinks will need to be indexed; constellation.microcosm.blue or a bespoke AppView might help with that!

Interesting… so the Bridgy PDS is huge in terms of total accounts (like 10x all self-hosted), but in terms of *active* accounts (DAU etc.), the number of users bridged from Mastodon is only 3x more 🧐 Which means the green can realistically overtake the blue here in the coming months… #BlueskyStats

Daily users posting from non-Bluesky PDSes:

green (federated PDS) shows rising from ~500 in first half of the year to 1000 in Auguest, 1500 and now 2000.

blue (Mastodon) was around 5k earlier and is about 6k now (so 8k both combined).

Well, it's all on ATProto anyway. Worst case scenario you pull the record out of the PDS and rawdog whatever format it's in? (I think ATProto records can be converted to JSON representations; not pleasant to read, but not impossible either.)
