![Back then, Kirk was a 20-year-old aspiring actress when Ratner sponsored her 0-1 visa in a letter addressed to the Department of Homeland Security U.S. Citizenship and Immigration division, according to court papers.
The letter, which was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court Case but likely overlooked because of the use of pseudonyms, sheds light on how a woman with no acting credits under her belt at the time was able to obtain a green card and work in the US, appearing in such films as “Ocean’s 8.”
In the visa letter, Ratner wrote that Kirk “is an outstanding actress with remarkable talent. She has the unique ability to deliver each of her lines seamlessly, captivating her character’s essence. Her on screen and on stage presence alike captivate audiences of all demographics. She truly is a one of a kind actress. It is no wonder she has already landed lead and starring roles in a variety of productions.”
At that point in her career, Kirk had secured no such roles.
Ratner also stated that he had cast Kirk “in one of my upcoming films that is set to start in February [2013].” Kirk never appeared in the referenced film, which likely was the teen action comedy “Barely Lethal,” a Hailee Steinfeld-led project about a teen intelligence agent. Ratner produced the film with the groan-worthy double entendre title. “Barely Lethal,” which was in pre-production in fall 2012, began shooting the following year.
According to an exhibit in Newton v. Grandin et al, Ratner was questioned under oath by Kirk’s lawyer about the DHS letter and said he would never hire Kirk “because she’s a horrible actress.” He also testified that he told her “I can’t hire you. It’s important to realize that the subtext of Trump freaking out at Kaitlan Collins when she asks him what he’d say to the Epstein survivors is that she may in practice be asking what he’d say to the *Trump* survivors, and they both know that. A well worded question
This isn’t some anonymous tip. This is sworn testimony, under penalty of perjury, from someone who said Trump threatened to kill her if she exposed Epstein’s sexual abuse.
