So good to be w/the Wilco Dems tonight! People are concerned about Paxton investigating “leftist terror cells.” This is the same man who is trying to remove me from my elected position. His bark is worse than his bite. Nevertheless, we should all be vigilant and watch out for one another.

Day 6 of my South Texas Tour took me to Del Rio. I’m heading back to Austin with more insight, vision, and resolve than ever. Texans are ready for change: clean water, great public schools, affordable housing, and accessible healthcare. I’m ready to deliver it.

Met with Houston, San Antonio, and Austin NAWBO chapters at the Texas Capitol! These women entrepreneurs shared key challenges: capital access, outdated policies, and healthcare/childcare needs.

Progress Texas hosted a panel with Austin FC goalkeeper Brad Stuver at Hop Squad Brewing. The discussion emphasized how politics affects everyone and civic engagement needs. Stuver discussed his foundation’s focus on equality, community engagement, sustainability, and education.

When I’m Lieutenant Governor, I will make sure our schools are getting the funding they need to be the best they can be. Districts should not be faced with the decision of having to close down schools to cut the budget.

Today I’m meeting with organizations on gambling expansion, stopping Islamophobia, and nurse conditions.
As Lieutenant Governor, I’ll keep listening to Texans and allow Senate debate.

Standing firm against Lt. Gov. Patrick’s misguided THC ban.
Like most Texans, I support smart regulation, not prohibition. We can protect children while respecting adult freedom. That’s why this extreme ban failed in the regular session and both special sessions.

SB8 creates invasive gender inspections and witch hunts against our neighbors while ignoring actual dangers our children face.

The Texas House debated and passed a new STAAR test bill. I don’t believe this bill accomplishes what we want. I voted against it. The goal is to remove the high stakes and cut down on time spent teaching to the test. This bill won’t accomplish those goals. #txlege
