This case is wild. At first I was naive and thought “ok save the healthy birds” but OH BOY was I wrong. Everything I hear both on the news and from neighbours about these people gets worse and worse!

I live in a closed-concept house and I have to say, it’s amazing. I can just *close the door to the living room* and *close off the kitchen*.

Why did we ever get into open concept, this is way better!

Today my daughter's preschool is holding a farewell assembly for one of her classmates whose mother has no choice but to self deport. The school is hoping it will be joyful in tone, so we might make this less upsetting for this 3 year old.

There's just no words for the uselessness of this cruelty.

I think I’ve just been in enough situations where it’s like - “Do you want to be housed or do you want to have your favourite utensils?” and for me that’s a pretty easy choice!

I actually don’t really have that much preference - I have my favourites but I live with 4 other roommates so we all share one set. It’s not a life or death situation for me, and yet I’m still autistic!

First holiday weekend without Leah.

My roommates are away but they left the dog with me so I have some(fluff) to be responsible for.

I have lots of schoolwork I can do for fun.

I have friends to have dinner with on Monday.

I just had a suicide group meeting and still feel held by that.

Ironically, this is the kid who works the least hard, tells me they love it the most (they love attention), and is the only student whose family is obsessed with this recital.

I still said no. Parents need to learn boundaries. Also, this is a homeschooled kid so their lack of effort astounds me!

Like if they made an effort and still sounded TERRIBLE - yes!! If they showed up every week and cried every lesson but still wanted to perform - yes!!

But if they’re just interested in birthday parties and not practicing and pretending they’re Lindsey Sterling just to show off - no.

Parent: Hey can my kid play in the recital next week?

So the local music school emailed me about group classes, made me create a curriculum plan, didn’t get back to me until way too late, and now conveniently have their new, least experienced teacher try to teach autistic 3yos the violin.
