Campaign Account: Nick Schultz for Assembly 2026 (FPPC # 1477852).
Today we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We’re reminded of the work still to be done to address voting rights, poverty, criminal justice reform, while also rooting out racism, sexism, xenophobia, and much more.

It was an honor to stand with the women and men of UFLAC Local 112 as they begin their campaign to gather signatures for a ballot measure this November to secure committed, stable funding for the growth of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

We all deserve to live in safe communities. It’s something I fundamentally believe we all want.

ICE’s shooting of Renee Good took that sense of safety away from all of us. The President has unleashed a force of masked, unlawful, unaccountable armed individuals roaming our streets with impunity.

2025 was a year of both immense challenges and significant accomplishment. There is much more work to be done in 2026. I’m proud of what we accomplished, but I also know there is more work ahead.

Today marks the fifth anniversary of the Jan. 6, 2021, mob attack on the U.S. Capitol instigated by Donald Trump. And yet the official plaque honoring the police who defended democracy that day is nowhere to be found.

A little more than a year ago, I was elected to represent California’s 44th Assembly District. It has been the honor and privilege of a lifetime to serve our community.

Democracy doesn’t pause at the end of the year, and neither do the challenges facing our communities.

SNAP is a lifeline for workers in low-wage jobs.

Meanwhile, CEOs are paid 280x as much as the typical worker.

Don’t be angry at workers for using food stamps.

Be angry at the corporations paying them so little that they need them.

Thank you Glendale Police Chief Manny Cid for your years of service to the Glendale community. You led GPD with integrity, hard work, and a commitment to establishing and maintaining an industry leading local law enforcement agency in California.

Wishing a joyful Hanukkah to all who celebrate. May the Festival of Lights bring peace, resilience & hope. Today’s mass shooting in Sydney reminds us that there is too much hate in this world. Hatred, bigotry & discrimination must be rooted out in whatever form they take. Chag Sameach!

There’s been a lot discussion tonight about the tentative agreement to fund and reopen the federal government.

Let me be clear: the longest shutdown in US history must come to an end. The Trump Administration has presided over an absolute failure to provide for the basic needs of our people.
