Saffron is a type of crocus! Really not special at all but this was from our first plant last year- this one is an Iranian variety

There are only a dozen saffron farms in the USA and the price will skyrocket with global warming - if you live in a dry hot climate or anything similar to Iran you can absolutely grow this crocus, it's easy and doesn't require hardly any water!!

The joy of cooking with your own grown and prepped produce is incredible :)

I think all humans need to do some level of gardening even if it's only one houseplant. It's just good for you to make things grow

Doing the sand base for a chicken coop is the way to go. Cleaning the coop today felt like doing a zen garden!

Really enjoying the birds. The two minorcas still do not want to go back in the coop at night and I have to herd them back in!

Once again I remind everyone that the affordable care act was a Republican brainchild from the 70's and 80's.

While health insurance exists healthcare will never be affordable and/or people will be chosen to die by insurance companies.

Medicare for all is the only way forward
