I just want everyone to know that it's gonna be 50-55 degrees for the next two weeks in western Colorado. Ski hills are looking AWFUL. No snow anywhere.
My wife and I usually go out to ski for the first time on Thanksgiving day. We think this year it's going to be at least 12/21 or later

It's been a cold week in the greenhouse, but the 🫛snap peas🌱 are growing like crazy! Great to see the bok choy popping up too.

Checking in at 6 weeks to say my employer has told me there is a big need for my skill set and they are going to custom build me a position to step into late Jan or early Feb. 95% work from home. Two new subordinates in new positions under me.
I'm having a good time at work for the first time since 2014

Still in the nonprofit space, so don't worry I don't work for bad people at all. Quite the opposite - a pillar of my community that works hard to house and care for vulnerable people

We are quite literally built to walk. Go walk, it's good for you.
Been going for a half an hour walk each day for the last few weeks, which is a big change for me, and I'm horrified to report it's actually helping loads

Every year we get a permit to cut a tree in areas which need to be thinned for fire prevention. BLM sends out a map and restrictions, then you go find a tree!

Every year on small business Saturday there is a local craft faire that only allows local small businesses and families have tables for their craft goods.
I get most of my holiday presents for the year at this faire! So stoked to go do some good capitlaism

Our neighbor is doing landscaping and left a bunch of junk and spare materials around on our property - clearly they didn't know where the line was. They just moved in!
I went over and was nice about it and walked away with some flagstone remnants I promptly installed in the chicken coop!! ♻️
