An indie TTRPG studio out of Chicago.
The character creation in this is so good I've been trying to recreate something like it for a year now.
Ok, I think the Obelisk prelaunch page on Kickstarter has enough minimal content to make it worth sharing around!

Why not get notified when we're live (sometime next year)?

During one of the biggest marketing pushes I've ever had, itch has decided to not let people purchase my game.
I will likely hand out plenty of business cards at PAX U. And people can't buy my game.
This is extremely frustrating and disheartening.

The part about persuasion checks is saying something we have thought about a lot while designing. Just better

Some version of our "transactional dialog" rules will always be reflected in future games. If that makes certain games expressionist, I am not sure

A modest #gencon2025 haul. Rich in spirit, poor in cash. 😂

Wanting to support a fellow indie, I went by the @igdn-official.bsky.social booth and picked up @wannabegames.bsky.social Moon Punk!

Perfect for a hard left-leaning former punk rock kid!

GenCon afternoon was a Dune LARP where I got to be the empress of the galaxy, 50 years before the birth of Paul Atreides, scheming to get my son Shaddam into the throne. Worked pretty well! DUNE history was on my side, after all.

Favorite Dune LARP moment: A Bene Gesserit getting pain-box tested to make sure she wasn't a face-dancer.

BG: So I stick my hand in and scream, like the other players?

GM: What? No. You're a Bene Gesserit. You don't have to scream at pain, you just roll your eyes. For you, this is just Tuesday.

I'm in the actual play. The Republican party wants Queer folks like me hidden or just dead. We are watching immigrates being dragged from homes. We are being forced into wars while children are slaughtered. This isn't politics, it's cruelty. There is no both sides. Bella Ciao. #rebelscum

Rebel Scum, a game about punching thinly metaphorized space Republicans in the face, technically broke Roll20's Product Standards Guidelines for "overt political agendas or views."

Censoring political art does the fascists' job for them, no matter how staunchly Roll20 proclaims 'no politics!'

This is precedent to delist nearly every game we have ever put out.
