Ukraine is outnumbered 4 to 1, and is still loosing land. Most of the aid was old stuff from the 70s and 80s

They need the very best kit to balance the odds, especially more modern aircraft and generally a lot more of everything

Check out the depletion rates of T-72 and T-80 tanks.
Hardly any T-80's left in storage.
No T-90's in storage at all.
Still hundreds of very old tanks left in storage.
But since the tanks in the best condition were refurbished first, these last ones are probably a sore sight.
