This is so sad. I use AI a lot as a consultant and have the opposite effect. I do a lot of work with AI at the meta level. I wonder if emphasizing extremely personalized curation might be a way. Unfortunately, years of book driven intellectual rigor are already out the window.

It's very important to understand that articles like this are not about what any Democrats think, it's about conservative groups trying to convince Democrats to think this, by making it sound like the only thing that's sensible
ICE may be shooting people in the face, sending people to concentration camps, and illegally occupying our cities but, apparently, the Democrats think saying, "abolish ICE" is "emotional" and politically "lethal."

What we're seeing in real time is the deployment of a Secret Police tasked with terrorizing those who live in communities insufficiently subservient to the regime. It's a form of spectacle violence designed undermine the rule of law & any semblance of accountability.
Today at 34 & Park in Minneapolis, a woman tried to drive down the street where a protest had broken out in front of a home ICE was raiding, saying she had a doctor apt to get to. ICE agents busted out her windows, cut off her seatbelt, and pulled her out before arresting her.

This is, straightforwardly, the threat of disparate treatment to stifle dissent. The DOJ's Deputy Attorney General is telling lawyers critical of administration policies that their clients will be singled out for harsher treatment.
