It was lovely to be asked to say a bit about what my role is, and what I enjoy about it. A lot of people can't understand why you would want to do project development and (especially) fundraising, but I love the impact I can have in shaping projects at such an early stage!

As we nearly come to the end of #TrusteesWeek, we’re highlighting the depth of #VCSE experience our trustees bring to the table.

At Ways to Wellness, we know how vital the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector is in keeping people well and reducing #HealthInequalities.

Great to hear recognition that roles like care navigators, care coordinators, link workers and social prescribers have a key role to play in supporting those who struggle with the system, so they are able to access the care they require

#SocialPrescribing
Our CEO Sandra Mitchell-Phillips has looked forward to this session on shifting the public debate on social care.

People with long-term conditions often have interactions with social care as well as #healthcare - how do we encourage joined up working to better support patient needs?

Great to be at The King's Fund conf on courage, honesty & the future of #healthcare

We’re at the Neighbours Matter workshop this afternoon. Barbara Slasor, Community Development Lead, Gaunless Gateway Big Local, says: “Voluntary doesn’t mean amateur. It’s ok to try and fail because failure teaches us more than fear ever will.”

We’re at the Connecting Communities Summit at the Glasshouse today. We’re kicking off with a keynote from Hilary Armstrong, Chair of @iconeighbours.bsky.social. She said: "The cost of not dealing with industrial decline is enormous." Neighbourhoods can give people opportunity, hope and aspiration.

Great to attend the ‘Shaping the Future of Social Prescribing across the North East & North Cumbria’ Summit yesterday, with many enthusiastic participants in the #SocialPrescribing sector across the region.

Lots of interesting discussions around: using research and data, and how to measure impact.
