At Ways to Wellness, we know how vital the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector is in keeping people well and reducing #HealthInequalities.

Great to be at The King's Fund conf on courage, honesty & the future of #healthcare

This panel looked at creating a system responsive to need given the impact of #poverty. Well thought out #policy can change outcomes for good but admin is crucial; patients can feel let down navigating the system

Great to attend the ‘Shaping the Future of Social Prescribing across the North East & North Cumbria’ Summit yesterday, with many enthusiastic participants in the #SocialPrescribing sector across the region.

Lots of interesting discussions around: using research and data, and how to measure impact.

Tom Riordan is 2nd permanent secretary at the Department of Health & Social Care & is focusing on effective partnership for NHS #productivity

He said historically the #NHS hasn't been as good as orgs such as local authorities, that are more used to the approach, at stopping things that don’t work

Dr Nisha Sharna from Leeds Teaching Hospitals talking about how data needs to be joined up.

We have systems for recording patient info but they don’t talk to each other effectively. Patients will often be unaware clinicians don't have access to every system.
Sharing data will create efficiencies
