Retired teacher, yet still teaching. Glad to find a new spot here. No one knows me via social media ‘cause I researched it for my dissertation and spent a decade going absolutely no way. No DMs.

My introduction post: Overeducated teacher who just enjoys flowers, animals, birds and time with my lovely husband. Youngish retiree about to really retire. Moderate leaning who will truly miss Biden. Just want everyone to be well-treated. 🐘 🌳 💉 🦢 🌸

Marjorie Taylor Greene: "I sent those deaths threats directly to him in a text message & informed him of what his name calling & words were doing - it was a direct assassination threat on my son. And he was extremely - I won't repeat what he said - but it was extremely unkind. No sympathy. No care"

For nearly 100 years, independent agencies created by Congress have been critical to the nonpartisan administration of government.

If the Court guts limits on presidential control over these agencies, it won’t just empower Trump — it will shred a core safeguard of democracy.

Rand Paul: "It has not been the history of the US to kill people who are out of combat. Even if there is a war, which most of us dispute -- that a bunch of people who are unarmed allegedly running drugs is a war -- we still don't kill people when they're incapacitated ... it's illegal and immoral."

Republicans are going to get crushed in the midterms. Well deserved, too. But I’m having a hard time understanding how maga is able to separate trump from Congress. Because maga is still blaming Biden for prices.

What the hell??

So, to summarize: tariffs cost the farming industry $44B in lost sales. The Idiot-in-Chief calls for a $12B payment to those farmers, allegedly funded by tariffs, calls it a win.

This is the logic of a lottery addict spending $50 on scratch tickets to win $5 and insisting he's come out ahead.
