Also to be abundantly clear, there is a difference between gift/fan art and raffles. Gifts are meant to be gifts, gifts are never owed and should be treated as something given out of your own volition. Raffles are inherently a reward, they are transactional and are essentially a voucher.

has nothing to lose, it's still a situation where you're actively using your fanbase in this situation. At the very least it's a dickmove, if you host a raffle and cannot deliver the very least you as an artist should do is talk to the winner one on one instead of sweeping it under the rug and (4/5)

I dunno I just find it disgusting that people are so weirdly transactional about it as if because it wasn't paid with money suddenly it's okay to just fuck over someone like that because, sure, while the raffle(3/5)

out of this. Essentially, and this is one of the few times I will say this as a valid statement, it was paid in exposure. You host a raffle, gain followers, there is a winner that is entitled to a reward. If an artist decides to not follow through then said artist basically used their fans (2/5)

Unpopular opinion I guess but I find it funny when people say that artists aren't obligated to follow through with raffles because nothing was ever paid so therefore the art shouldn't be treated with the same respect as if it had been paid for despite the fact that said artist gained followers (1/5)

Woke up to quite the update on this. I had been in contact with Payment Cloud about getting their service and they waited until now to hit me with the image below. Again, stringing me along instead of being upfront. They had seen my website multiple times before this.

An image taken from an e-mail from Payment Cloud to me. They list prohibited adult work, one of which just includes "Fantasy" which is as wide as cat ears and fairies. We are so cooked.
