Tonight is 'Bonfire Night', also known as 'Guy Fawkes Night' or 'Fireworks Night', an annual tradition of sorts celebrated here in the UK. The thing is, I know the history behind it and like any lesson from history, it leaves me with an uneasy feeling.

Oh what do I blame this month? For the most part, my own lazy backside.

I help run a small jujitsu club and a couple months ago I ran an advert on Facebook. Very limited spending and reach; literally a cap of £30, over 2 weeks. Ever since then I will occasionally get a notification when I open Google Chrome, supposedly giving a daily summary. I say supposedly because it tells me how much I have 'spent' in dollars, not my native GBP, and I'm not actually being charged anything.

Yesterday I was making my now monthly trip up north for some advanced Jujitsu training. It's a minimum of a 3 hour journey so I put music on during the drive. I decided to go with Papa Roach. Just their whole discography end to end, starting with the most recent albums and working backwards.

I can't lie. This is a side thought that keeps resurfacing in my head that I need to write down. I don't know if it will make sense, but it feels like it does to me, at least when I think about it in the confines of my own mind. I think it's one possible way to explain Aromanticism to a non-Aromantic person. And it borrows an idea from Atheism.

"Support for Windows 10 ends on October 14, 2025." My PC had to update recently, and I'm now getting the above message. In short, Microsoft are gently pushing people like me to upgrade from Window 10 to Windows 11 by reminding us that they will no longer be supporting Windows 10.

On my commute home from work yesterday evening, I got to be a witness to a mild bit of dangerous driving. I'm not sure if it met the standard for 'Dangerous Driving' here in the UK, but this happened in rush hour traffic and around in-use pedestrian crossings, so I reported it to the local police anyway. Well, I tried to.

I was given a "Classic Car Driving Experience" for my birthday back in December. 3 miles on a track, in one of 8 types of cars. I figured I should book the experience sooner rather than later because the voucher only lasts for 1 year.
