It’s probably a good time for people to wrap their heads around a near total monopoly of news and media by either overt fascists or fascist-friendly accomplices.

This isn’t doomerism, it’s preparing for how reality will be warped and weaponized and understanding the fight we have in front of us.

I said they won’t patrol dangerous neighborhoods. ICE agents will be hanging out on Michigan Avenue, in the Gold Coast and Wrigleyville. None of them will so much as drive near a high crime rate neighborhood.And they are.

Iowa farmers and state government led the way and worked very hard to build soybean trade with China in the 80s. (Current) Pres Xi was involved in all that back then and visited Iowa farms. The whole thing should be a case study in international trade, among other topics.

The shock to the soybean market was so bad in T 1.0 that he wrote checks to every US soybean grower for every bushel they claimed to have grown—no verification necessary. Say, you had a bumper crop? You got a bigger check. No questions asked. At taxpayer expense.

Before Trump 1.0, China was the single largest buyer of American soybeans and had been for decades. His first trade war w/them, they pulled way back. T 2.0, China is buying everything from S America.
