Gold sold: 167 tonnes
-Proceeds received in 1997: AUD $2.4 billion

-If we still owned that gold today (spot price ≈ AUD $6,054.50/troy ounce, 7 Oct 2025):
≈ AUD $32.51 billion.

👉🏻We’d be $30+billion richer today.

I’ll just come right out and say it. It’s only a matter of time when Trump will make up with some reason that Hamas broke the cease-fire, and he will then aid Israel to take over Gaza. That has always been their goal.

I do not support using the language "peace deal" because it carries the implication that what was happening was a war.

Israel was slaughtering civilians.

Please stop legitimising Trump's demand for the Nobel Peace Prize. He only pushed for the peace deal because he wanted the NPP.
He is causing disharmony and deaths all over the world but particularly in the US.
He could have stopped providing weapons a long time ago if he was serious.

bombing Gaza? I don't get it.
Couldn't there be a pause and a show of good faith until all the peace agreements were signed?
