Language does matter Mr.L. Not in style or dialect, but in meaning–– we are not 'in the same boat' in any language. Our inequitable world has created a scenario where air mattresses bob up against yachts.
No matter where we live or what language we speak, we’re in the same boat: trying to get by in an impossible economy.

ahh Philosophy! Now that's my religion. Why? Because Philosophy encourages thought, unlike Religion, which counts on subservience.

Awesome news. I've asked for a hold at my local library. I'm imagining a Christmas-cake-of-a-read! (FYI – I ❤️ fruitcake).
Thanks Mr.C.

One thing about humans: we all want to be.
Establishing an identity
Easy for some, you or me
Harder for others to come by casually.
Questions of inequity
Make life difficult to see
The deeper question: how to be free.

Indeed Ms.G. I'm thinking how it's important to recognize that a deck of playing cards has four suits that are meant to work together despite differences. In this game however, Ms.S. wants to shuffle her UNO cards in the mix. What's the Joker to do?
Several outlets are reporting Prime Minister Mark Carney and Alberta Premier Danielle Smith are going to sign a deal this week that includes a path to a northwest B.C. oil pipeline.

But why would Carney reward Smith with this gift just days after her nuclear attack on trans kids' lives?

The principle of a Co-Op is sound. I would trust Mr.L. to govern its practical policies.

We could live in a country where we reduce our energy bills, clean our air and water, revitalize our communities, take back our energy sovereignty, and create thousands of good-paying union jobs in the process.

The secret? Public ownership.

All this underlines the need for us to make individual choices that help create a healthy world.
Meta owns Instagram
Imagine knowing your platform was a playground for predators, fueling teen depression, eating disorders, and suicide and deciding the best course of action was… absolutely nothing. Meta didn’t just “miss” anything.

Huge moment in this interview with @frankdomenic.bsky.social.

NDP leadership candidate @avilewis.ca puts proportional representation on the national stage and makes it the non negotiable democratic reform we need.

When leadership contenders acknowledge the core issue, the national debate shifts.

Thanks for reminding us Mr.A.
We have a special ceremony, every Nov 11 in Victoria, beside the memorial in their honour. We stand wearing a white poppy to show respect for all those innocents who die as the result of war.
