A few words about who you just followed:

Since 2014, I've been a co-host on the Wanderers in the 4th Dimension podcast. We've covered every #DoctorWho TV story to date + many #BigFinish stories.

I also like to muck about w/Photoshop.
Here are a few of my many meme creations:

Depicted is my take on the "Distracted Boyfriend" meme. My version is Doctor Who-themed and features Ruby Sunday casting an approvingly judgmental gaze at a Distracted Doctor, who in turn is eying a Rogue bounty hunter. (Note: created via old-school Photoshop techniques).

Depicted is a meme I created a while back that I call "The Spocketeer". As one my surmise by the title it's a parody of "The Rocketeer" movie poster. In lieu of the Rocketeer cast, my version features Star Trek's Spock & T'Pring, as well as an evil Mirror Spock. (Note: created via old-school Photoshop techniques).

Depicted is a meme I made last year that I originally uploaded to Facebook & tumblr. accounts. It was shared extensively on those sites. The graphic shows Kirk & Spock recreating Spock's altruistic sacrifice from Star Trek II the Wrath of Khan, only they're separated by one of those cardboard Barbie photo-op booths that popped up at various theaters last year. In case anyone is wondering, the image is actually a picture of an AMC theater complex in San Francisco, California and the image of Spock and Kirk is a Hallmark ornament that's been pasted into the photo. Originally, there were people in the picture too, but I digitally removed them (in retrospect, I wish I had done a better job on that edit, as one of the top steps isn't very level).

While not the World Series outcome I was hoping for, this S.F. Giants fan tips his cap to both teams (yes, even the Giants' arch rivals, the L.A. Dodgers) for delivering a well-fought, entertaining series that went the full seven games, plus several extra innings to boot. ⚾

Either the sync method or the rewards pts method can be used to procure a free year of updates. While I don't recommend spending $30, it's worth checking to see if you're eligible to get it for free.

Depicted is a screen grab of my Windows Update screen which now indicates I'm enrolled in the Extended Security Updates plan, which grants Windows 10 users an additional year of security updates beyond the October 14, 2025 cutoff. A obtained the free additional year on account, Microsoft deemed I met at least one of the two eligibility requirements for an extended year of updates.

You can get another free year simply by having synced your PC with a Microsoft account, which many of you have whether you realize it or not, especially if you created a MS account when you first set up your PC. Alternatively, you can get another year by redeeming 1,000 Microsoft reward points.

When I clicked on the ESU (Extended Security Updates) option, I was informed I was eligible for a free year of updates. If you have a PC that's ineligible for Win 11, considering checking Windows Update and selecting the enroll button to find out if you meet either of the free enrollment criteria.

PSA:
My laptop isn't able to run Win 11 on account its processor missed the eligibility cutoff by one generation. MS does offer another year of Win 10 security updates for $30, but there are also a couple ways to get that year for free, which weren't evident until I clicked the enroll in ESU option.

It's officially Halloween as evident by a former neighbor of mine upholding her annual tradition of stopping by and dropping off a loaf of her freshly-baked spider bread. #Halloween #tradition

Depicted is the pumpkin I carved this year. It's supposed to represent Anakin and Obi-Wan battling it out on Mustafar. I can't take credit for the concept, for I've seen other people make similar carvings, but I liked the idea enough to have a go at it. Plus, I was pressed for time this year, so I wanted something that I could crank out fairly quickly.

Two bags of candy wasn't enough last year, so this year I'm well supplied. No trick-or-treaters yet, but sunset here on the West Coast isn't for another 25 minutes. I wonder how much of impact game six of the World Series will have on foot traffic?

I updated my profile with a picture of the #Wicked -themed pumpkin I carved for #Halloween last year. I'm not sure what this year's carving will be. I won't have as much time to work on it before trick-or-treaters star arriving, so it likely won't be as intricate as carvings I've done in years past.

Depicted is pumpkin I carved for Halloween last year. It's a backlit silhouette of Elphaba Thropp from the movie/play Wicked. I inserted a translucent green plastic binder cover in front of an LED flashlight to achieve the desired illuminated emerald background.

It was time to replace my aging desktop computer, which originally shipped with Windows XP. I upgraded the GPU, added a second Xenon processor, & was running Win10, but 18 years is awfully long in computer years.

YouTube is rolling out an automated "feature" (already opted out) that AI up-scales videos that are below 1080p to HD.

If #YouTube is so concerned about HD content, why is it that digital content I PURCHASED via #Google Play, is limited to 480p YouTube playback, even though my purchase was for 4K?
