I was curious to know if there was any sort of argument on the other side, even a weak one. I consider myself below average in such matters and it seems unequivocal and obvious to me.
Meta, without cracking up at the gag, complained that having to obey the law in some countries, but not yet in others, undermina the borderless EU single market.
Last week, a Dutch court ordered Meta to let Facebook and Instagram users set a chronological feed by default, a first test of the EU’s Digital Services Act in civil court. Tech Policy Press spoke with Bits of Freedom’s Rejo Zenger on the ruling’s significance.
The UK Conservative Party has a cunning plan to win back voters- - by threatening to remove their human rights safeguards - by threatening to removed their social security safety net - by threatening to destroy their environment by overturning their own environmental policies. 🤦♀️
Last week, a Dutch court ordered Meta to give Facebook & Instagram users the right to set a chronological feed by default - one of the first EU cases applying the DSA in civil proceedings.
“Yesterday, a Dutch appeals court threw out Elon Musk’s X request for a gag order against local tech expert and legal scholar Danny Mekić. Mekić sued X in 2023 after the platform briefly made his account invisible, a so-called shadow ban“ euobserver.com/digital/ar90...

FWIW I've written to the Irish Minister for Justice - an enthusiastic supporter of Europe's hideous "chat control" phone-scanning proposal - asking him to imagine when that technology is used against him.
If you're German, please, PLEASE write to your justice/interior minister today.
📣 Germany's close to reversing its opposition to mass surveillance & private message scanning, & backing the Chat Control bill. This could end private comms-& Signal-in the EU.
Time's short and they're counting on obscurity: please let German politicians know how horrifying their reversal would be.
We are alarmed by reports that Germany is on the verge of a catastrophic about-face, reversing its longstanding and principled opposition to the EU’s Chat Control proposal which, if passed, could spell the end of the right to privacy in Europe. signal.org/blog/pdfs/ge...
