Much colder this week & those blooms were trickier to spot! Huge thanks to everyone that went looking and shared their gorgeous pics! Some surprises too - hawthorn in full flower alongside its fruit, I wonder what the next week will bring? Let’s meet again next Sunday to find out! 😀
How cheery to find this Oxeye Daisy still defiantly upright, despite the weather this week. A total of 22 sp in flower on my #wildflowerhour walk. Included also Lucerne, Knapweed, Annual Mercury, Gorse, Prickly Oxtongue, Meadow Buttercup, Creeping Thistle, Cinquefoil and Bramble. #thewinter10

A strange, wintery-looking combination this week - meadowsweet coming into flower (seems late?) looking at first glance like frosty seedheads, set against a background of greenery and bright red berries (of white briony I think). By our local pond, in Oxfordshire.

My wildflower finds this week are all from a wander along Brighton seafront. I think these 3 plants are all common groundsel; one had downturned ray-florets but wasn’t sticky. Thoughts? #wildflowerhour
