Today the admin is mass-firing the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), the nation's cybersecurity protection across all levels of government.
The brain drain is real. At my agency we lost so many experienced mentors and trainers and experienced claims processors to the DRP and early retirement (or just retirement that wasn't previously planned).
Three key points: 1) The admin has been planning mass firings to begin in October since February 2) The work necessary to carry out mass firings is illegal during a shutdown, violating the Antideficiency Act, which carries a criminal penalty 3) This harms America, ridding us of talent and expertise
