A nihilist who cares
The Alan Bleasdale TV series GBH is one of the greatest pieces of writing and performance ever.
This place needs some Innocuous Discourse pronto. Quote this with a take that’s not political or aggressive

ROBIN OF SHERWOOD (1984): Michael Praed was The Hooded Man in Richard Carpenter's dark ITV drama, which fully leant into the mythology of the character. Magic, demons, the supernatural, pagan myth, and Robin's Obi Wan Kenobi, Herne the Hunter, all featured. Still the best Robin Hood ever!

Well it'll be boom time for the weapons manufacturers.

Maybe I should have gone to work for them after all when I had the opportunity. Silly morals getting in the way of me making loads of money.

What the fuck have you done America? What the fuck. This is fucking insane. I can't begin to imagine what'd happen if the US violently invade Greenland. This is madness.

That's it, we're cooked, we weren't any worse than Forest but the way the game developed, the way that every time they hit the ground they got the decision but we didn't, the universe hates us and I guess that's it.

Demoralising.

The results notwithstanding, the worst thing about the Ashes is having to fucking listen to Glenn McGrath on the TMS coverage. I just cannot stand him.

The people on here dragging posts from X/Twitter to show here like cats with a dead rat in their mouths. You lot should take a long hard look at yourselves and stop it right now.

Share an '80s TV show that deserves more love.

Robin of Sherwood

It changed the whole concept of Robin Hood and mystical story-telling in the UK and globally.

Following the news is never good for your mental health, especially if you will dwell on it. I don't think there's a cure for this especially, if like me, you're curious about everything. But it's important to understand and distance yourself from it if you're getting too involved.

Fuck's sake BBC, this isn't acceptable language, you have to say this as if he's a lunatic and incredibly dangerous psychopath. Not like it's his shopping list. I mean he's sueing you, you don't owe him any affinity.

Very worthy winner of the the New Year Taskmaster. A few mishaps but they definitely deserved it.

And OMG the line up for the next series. It's so amazing. And no I didn't look at the leak, fuck whoever leaked it or spread the leak.

BUT IT'S SO AMAZING! Please show it before the world ends.

Jill has a lot of Knappett energy. I thought this yesterday but it continues today.

Terrible world news, terrible football and my knee is in agony. But at least we saw our new puppy today. He'll join us at the end of the month.

Great line up, great part one. Taskmaster keeps me sane.

Unlike some New Years treats I would love to see this lot having done a whole series. But a double bill will have to do.

I already intend to do nothing of any consequence next year. There'd have to be something catastrophic to change my mind. But ofc nothing we do do is consequential so I guess I can do anything too.
Sometimes it's confusing being an existential nihilist.
