Man, I both love and hate how my anxiety about writing (which mulls over how I'm going to do it and make sure it doesn't suck) is always worse than when I actually write (when usually the words just flow and I'm able to do it with little issue)

No one ever worries about when a book was written or a film was made. Video games are, surprisingly, like music in that people prefer modern because it’s modern and people like retro because it’s retro. Another parallel is “what are considered oldies/retro” arguments.
Some folks play older ("retro") games to see what they missed.
Others do it to relive their childhood.
But me? I do it because I don't think older games are any less valid than modern ones, and I enjoy the exploration of trying new things, no matter what their vintage is!
