I read a horrifying story about “prison quotas” for juvenile detention facilities in some states.

I've heard of ticket quotas, but never an arrest quota. I suppose that may be a thing from the Jim Crow era, but I've never heard of this in my lifetime.

Is it normal for a police department to have ‘arrest quotas?’ As reported by Fox 11, the Glendora Police Department has an arrest quota of 1,700 people per year.

Epstein: Too important to ignore. Yet it’s the perfect distraction, to keep much of the country’s political energy on the scandal, so that the “government,” with corporations and the wealthy class, can continue to screw the American people over in the later stages of capitalism.

Trump ‘promises’ the checks by mid-2026, because that’s conveniently when SCOTUS may rule that the IEEPA does not authorize the President to impose tariffs. Then, T will blame SCOTUS—and many people will also blame SCOTUS, leading to the judicial branch losing even more credibility.

Fascism is the system’s response to late-stage capitalism. This is capitalism failing. People are setting themselves up to be shocked when fascism accelerates post-Trump. This isn't a problem with a few bad people. This is a problem with a system that enriches the few, at the expense of the many.

Just to clarify, everyone knows the reason for this government shutdown is because Republicans don’t want to release the Epstein Files, right?

This is how Fox News radicalizes people—as their viewers watch these three anchors casually discuss involuntary civil commitment, to the final solution of “involuntary lethal injection,” over an aesthetically curated morning tv show.

The Trump Tariffs are making the price of everything go up quickly. Produce at Costco up at least 20 percent in the past month. Things on Amazon that used to cost ~$80, now ~$100. Gas is up. Cost of everything rising. And this is just the beginning, as T essentially started a trade war.

Nah, this was no “coding error.” The United States government has been out to destroy habeas corpus, without a constitutional amendment, because it stands in the way of its tyrannical power.
Article I Sections 9 & 10 of the U.S. Constitution—which limit presidential power over tariffs and protect habeas corpus—have disappeared from Congress’s website. They claim a coding error is to blame.

Articles I, Sections 9 and 10 are inaccessible on Congress-run portal, raising concerns over transparency and public access.

The United States also has a bigger per capita jail and prison population than the prison populations of China, Russia, and Saudi Arabia put together.
A grim reminder this 4th of July: The US has the highest incarceration rate of any independent democracy on Earth, making it a leader in mass incarceration.

Far too many people are locked up in the “land of the free.”
