Fangirl, scientist, writer. May make an account with my actual name at some point
Every once in a while I like to remind people that regulations are effective and the reason things aren't awful is because of regulations and protections. #environmentalism #regulation
Vintage EPA photos reveal what US waterways looked like before pollution was regulated
In the years after the US Environmental Protection Agency was founded, the agency dispatched photographers to document pollution and contamination.

The Real Gamer Gate huh. Can't believe Epstein played a role in the worsening of mainstream video games #EpsteinFiles
“Notorious pedophile Jeffrey Epstein played a role in convincing Bobby Kotick to embrace loot boxes, essentially gambling for children” what is this sentence, what is this world

My German is apparently getting better, yet people are still able to tell it's not my native language within a sentence so. Not much better. #GermanAsASecondLanguage #LivingAbroad

Knitting or crocheting in public is a surefire way to summon every middle aged or elderly woman to either ask you questions about your project OR tell you you're knitting wrong and teach you the correct technique #knitting

I've been doing research on the economic impacts of the #AtlanticHorseshoeCrab, and keep on seeing that a quart of horseshoe crab blood is worth $15,000- but all from news sources and never from companies selling the product. Anyone know where this number came from?

The wildest thing about using chromosomes or blood tests to determine sex/gender is that these are methods not used to determine gender for birth certificates. Imagine if after a baby was born the doctor went 'well it looks like a girl but to be sure we need a kareotype and a blood test in 13 years'
