Telecom was the studio behind several Lupin The Third productions, like Miyazaki's Castle of Cagliostro or Koike's Lupin the IIIRD series, and many international co-productions, like Little Nemo and Sherlock Hound. It also animated many episodes of US cartoons like Animaniacs and Batman TAS.

The studio was founded in 1975 by Yutaka Fujioka, TMS' president at the time, to produce high quality animation. It soon became the "home" of Yasuo Ōtsuka, a legend of the industry, that not only worked as an animator for Telecom but also supervised and trained a new generation of animators.

Telecom Animation Film is getting dissolved and absorved by TMS Entertainment.

As far as I remember, they had been in debt for a long time so it doesn't come as a total surprise, but it's still a sad news. Lupin the IIIRD The Immortal Bloodline was basically their swan song
