Even if these GOP House members resign, let's make absolutely sure we do our damnedest to get as many good Dem and Progressive candidates in those House seats as possible. The bigger our majority, the more outnumbered the GOP will be, likely for years or even decades to come.
‘More explosive early resignations are coming’.

If that prediction bears out with an already-narrow majority, there is a universe in which the timing of those resignations and the results of special elections could put the House GOP Majority in jeopardy BEFORE November 2026.

It’s looking more and more likely that the GOP won’t be able to agree on a health care plan by the new year, damning millions to unaffordable premiums.

Americans just keep getting screwed with Republicans in charge.

Trump wanted to extend Obamacare health care subsidies. Some congressional Republicans are upset.
It looks like the president may have to go back and tinker with his plan.

This fucking clown believes in miasma theory. He literally doesn't think germs are real. What the fuck are you publishing, Atlantic?

"Can the guy who killed a bunch of kids in Samoa lead the scientific establishment?"

Obviously fucking not, you absolute toilet goblins.
Over many interviews, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told Michael Scherer about how he plans to remake America’s public-health system. Can he lead the scientific establishment he’s spent much of his life crusading against?

Please add The Atlantic to your boycott and block list.

This is not how to treat a government crisis in healthcare management and oversight. This is degusting and tawdry dumbfuckery.

Thanks for asking. And no one who denies and attacks science can lead science. So no, and I hope the story isn't the whitewash this pitch makes it sound like.

From the headline to the photo, a troubling and embarrassing cover that normalizes RFK Jr.'s unique brand of danger to science and health care.

Especially disappointing considering that this is The Atlantic.

Time to reconsider my subscription.

If I can give you 1 thing that I have learned on my Lupus, cancer, chronic illness and pain and other medical journeys, it would be: we must always have hope. Even in the midst of the darkness and pain, when you are feeling alone and unable to speak because it hurts we must always find the light. 🙏💜

I got the clearance to travel to DC by my doctor only if I promised to not overdo it. Meeeeeeee? Overdo it? But SERIOUSLY, we are living in a time where our voices matter more than ever. Not being able to share yours in Congress has been heartbreaking for me. That changes December!

NEVER GIVE UP!🙏💜

It's not a matter of whether or not we'll have such tribunals. It's whether or not we can still manage to have them in prosecution of fascist Republicans for crimes against humanity. If we can't, fascist Republicans will eventually hold them against everyone else for the crime of humanity.
Happy to chat with the administration about the Nuremberg tribunals.

Including about the crime of enforced disappearance and the limits of the defense of superior orders.
Hey look POTUS calling for military tribunals

These bastards went to court and filed an amicus brief supporting the creation of a constitutional right to bully trans students. This is the inevitable result. It's what they wanted, more dead trans kids.

Intentionally misgendering a person is already considered a form of sexual harassment under the civil rights laws of a number of states, including California and misgendering.

In my state (New York) it is legally considered a form of sexual harassment. Because it’s discrimination based on a person’s sex.

Just unfollowing him until that battle he’s having right now ends.

A Cabernet Sauvignon full bodied unfollowing.

Besides I think I made my position clear.

I’m not wrong as some state’s laws already reflect my position.

Someday it will be nationwide.

The law just has to catch up.

Then Ari Cohn should stfu.

I won’t accept Ari Cohn saying “it’s not illegal” when it bloody well is crossing legal lines.

It is sexual harassment and it is discrimination and it is child abuse and endangerment.

And for a child already battling their peers as well as often their family’s understanding and acceptance, for someone in a position of authority to throw all of that battle out the window in front of their peers is as brutal an abuse as it gets.

If a teacher intentionally misgenders a child their position of power also enables the child’s peers to do the same. It is literally bringing into question the sex with which the child identifies with vs was assigned at birth. It is pointing to a child’s sex and mocking how that child understands it

Equal rights laws, civil rights laws and anti discrimination laws as well as laws regarding child endangerment, abuse and laws on protecting public safety and personhood (death threats, screaming fire in a theater etc).

Speech is protected until it endangers the welfare or rights of others, then there are laws that come in for these very scenarios.
