Working on the next chapter of the witch AU, and... well, this happened.

“Hell yeah! I’ve got this in the bag, yo!”
“Tell me, is your head just made of empty muscle?”
Beat almost dropped his sword, yanking his head around to figure out where the hell Priss’ voice came from. A glint of light caught his eyes, and Beat moved to slash—before realizing his own tome had taken to flight on its own accord. Though with Priss’ smug mug on it, maybe slashing it wouldn’t be that huge a setback.
“The hell’s your problem, yo?” he growled instead. “I jus’ got you a buncha pigs!”
“Do you honestly believe every pig out here is built the same? Those weaklings you just mowed down have so little Soul that you might as well feed me air in a can.”
“You mean that stuff they got at Modi? It ain’t that bad.”
Joshua’s eyebrow twitched. “Please tell me you’re not serious.”
“Sure I am. I can getcha some after this.”
“You know, Beat. I’m impressed. You continue to hit new lows.”
“Thanks, yo!” He turned his attention past the tome as more pigs ambled into the plaza. All the same dull gold as the ones he’d just taken out. “So what, should I not be fighting these things?”

Chapter 92: Pig Invasion

The Pig symbols were everywhere. They zipped around the city before releasing, the plump Noise inciting yelps from unsuspecting civilians.

“What the hell happened, yo?” Beat whispered next to him, and Rhyme poked her head under his arm to see better.

“They’re all coming out at once, almost like they’ve been summoned by something…”

“Summoned?” Neku’s gaze fell on the doll in Shiki’s arms.

She noticed his look and immediately waved a hand. “D-don’t look at Mr. Oinkers like that! He didn’t do this!”

Anyway, working on the witch AU chapter~ ...but I wasn't sure about showing off what's after this part yet, so I decided to share Josh being dumb instead :D' Though now, it's about time to have some fun...~

“You could make this easier,” Neku challenged. “You have enough power now, don’t you? Make me a way back to Shiki’s, and we’ll call it even.”
“Leaving so soon? You haven’t even fluffed my pillows yet.”
If he wanted his pillows fluffed, then fine—Neku picked one up and stuffed it right in Josh’s face. He let out a muffled response as Shiraha fled the room, too much excitement for her delicate body.
Pushing the pillow away, Josh agitated Neku further by commenting, “Why Neku, I didn’t know you were into that sort of thing.”
Neku rolled his eyes. “I’m going to feed your rabbit. You better make me a way back by the time I’m done, or I’m not bringing you dinner.”
