The "YouTuber' [derogatory]" that really started my sociological awareness evolution is here on BlueSky now. @librariananansi.bsky.social least I can do is give them a shout-out. Thanks for what you do.

I'm confused, at work today I did practically nothing. And I only being paid a buck fifty over minimum wages. I thought the going rate for 'practically nothing' is in the millions.

Civility is about comforting the
comfortable.

Justice is about comforting the afflicted and *afflicting* the comfortable.

If "etiquette" advice can be used in service of the former and to suppress the latter, it's just toxic and oppressive civility discourse.

The end.

Advantages of calling them skeets:
1: It makes this place more attractive to queer people.
2: It makes this place less attractive to religious conservatives.
3: It's hilarious.

TotD: my whole personality is that the world is broken and that we need to do something to fix it. But I am struggling just to maintain enough to exist, how can I make a difference now. Where is the difference between me and the neo-liberals I speak against?

TotD (Thought of the day): The difference between a reactionary and reformer is if seeing the injustice in one issue leads to compassion for other issues of injustice. Reform is inherently intersectional, otherwise it's just imposition of your values.

I hate kitchen prep work. I don't like driving in cities. I am not religious. So you will never find me working BoH in a restaurant, or as driver, or in a church. But I respect people who do. Just saying the things you choose to do does not determine the value of what someone else does.

Debate has always been a poor way to evaluate just about anything. If the participants aren't going in open to being wrong what's the point. This goes for all debates scientific or political.

One post here, about coming on the platform. Go to work get responses from two leftist, one far right winger, a dog channel, and anonymous. Not horrible. Just wait til I actually have time to build this profile and platform.
