Keir Starmer was named after the Labour Party's founder, Keir Hardie.

Ironically, Starmer himself has ended the party Hardie created.

Time to join The Green Party!

Still cannot believe this happened yesterday.

Had to uninstall the app, it was trigging me every time I saw it.
I've just experienced one of the worst feelings in the world.

A credit card company just asked in chat, 2nd message, whether or not ive felt like killing myself recently.

Imagine having past trauma throw up in conversation.

This is sick. I'm fucking sick. #PTSD #MentaHealthAwareness

Today we’ll get latest net immigration figures - They’ll show immigration for work is plummeting.

Why is this not part of the discussion on Rachel Reeves balancing her books & stalled growth?

For every 100,000 drop in net immigration, the OBR adds £7bn to the deficit. #r4today

Amazing take from someone who considers themselves as wealthy enough that the more tax they pay the more pride they have knowing theyre making much larger contributions to society.

This message is the key to a wealth tax. Pride.

The budget is definitely in the right direction, but let's remember why the bonds market is reacting = because Labour removed the self imposed fiscal cap.

These are all decisions that never had to even exit in the first place.

But we know labour would do anything other than tax 2% super wealthy.

Tim Berners-Lee wants everyone to own their own data – his plan needs state and consumer support to work.

This sounds like a solid idea. Keep elites out of our data. I think I trust the man who invented the world wide web more than our government.

I actually thought he was reasonable today!

And that's because a wealth tax is obvious. Unless you're defending the super rich.

It's shameful Labour are refusing.

The only thing getting bigger is the voting intentions swing from Labour to The Green Party

Labour are scared
Reeve's will be signing on soon because there's no way she survives this election

All Reeve's ever cared about was becoming the first female chancellor, rather than a peoples chancellor
Growing @greenparty.org.uk membership 📈

Growing the pressure on Labour to tax extreme wealth fairly 📈

Growing the movement to make hope normal again 📈

I'm glad kids are finally being lifted out of poverty.

The child benefit cap was cruel and punished the kid for being born. It took way too long for it to be removed.

Not celebrating Labour, they dragged their feet so hard on this. Labour are for the few.

Alongside many campaigners, the Green Party have absolutely dragged the Labour Government to finally end the child cap.

Labour politicians disgracefully defended it for far too long.

This shows why the Green Party membership rising and rising matters.

The 50 wealthiest families own more wealth than the bottom 50% of the population.

How can this Labour Government say this is a "cost of living" budget and refuse to tax the rich?

They care about protecting power and wealth. And cost of living is a buzz phrase for them. Dire.

The very first thing the Prime Minister does is use the household budget metaphor.

A metaphor - this report into BBC coverage - said could be "easily misleading."

Why is the government trying to mislead the country?

@zackpolanski.bsky.social wants to introduce a wealth tax of 1% on assets of over £10m & 2% on assets over £1bn & if the super rich want to leave the UK because they are being taxed a tiny amount more then we should wave them goodbye

Thatcherite John Redwood says 1% isn't a tiny amount.
November 26, 2025 at 9:18 AM
The UK is controlled by the bond market.

We have economic advisors on TV telling us the markets will spook if wove politics to the left.

He then said they bond market prefer stable governments and said Labour is preferable by the bond markets.

They're weak and unstable.

Fuck the bond market

Rosie Wrighting, Labour MP, on Channel 4 sounds like a Liz Truss clone. Can't believe she's in Labour the way to speak about progressive ideas.

There was an economic advisor, affiliated with Tory austery, he seemed more left than her.

How far (right) they've fallen.
