Happy patch day!

To accompany your hunters in exploring the shattered world of K'aresh, please enjoy our Patch 11.2 hunter pet guide.

One thing we're currently uncertain of is razorwings, which have had a broken attack animation right up to the last update.

A lot of stuff is already tameable. Some is still being set up though

*smacks head* Chloroceroses are DIREHORNS, not Clefthoofs.

I think the "ceros" part of their name made me assume they were plant rhinos (and yes, I'm aware that ceros just means horn :) )

3 more outstanding florafaun tames coming in Midnight:

- CHLOROCEROSes (top) are plant-rhinos in the Clefthoof family.

- PETALWINGs (centre) are plant-Carrion Birds.

- GROVECRAWLERs (bottom) are plant-crawlies in the Serpent family.
A montage of three different models of 'florafaun' (plant beast) models that will be hunter pets in Midnight.
Top: Chloroceroses - kind of plant rhino with long, colourful horns and a neck frill of petals or leaves. (lavender, purple, red, green, or purple-teal).
Middle: Petalwings - vegetative birds with long, sharp beaks (lightbloom, lavender, red, red-purple, red-purple-cyan-yellw-green, green&tan)
Bottom: Grovecrawlers - something like an upright serpent, but with several pairs of insectile legs and wooden scales and a bloom at the end of the tail (lightbloom, blue, maroon, purple, red, green)

Finally for tonight, I added all the gorgeous new hawkstriders to our database:

www.wow-petopia.com/family.php?i...

Joining the Tallstrider family in Midnight, there are 6 colours and I believe all will be tameable.

They closely correspond to the 6 colours of the original BC standard mount.
New hawkstrider model for WoW; Midnight. A large, feathery flightless bird with feather crest at the back of its head. There are six colours: black, blue & green, green & yellow, purple & blue, red & purple, white.

The whole “git gud”/“adapt or quit playing” response to the removal of combat addons from WoW infuriates me. It’s not just that people are trying to take the easy way out. Some people just literally CANNOT process information in the way it’s presented by the game.
wowpetopia.bsky.social
This is me. I'm smart at grasping academic knowledge but I cannot process large amounts of immediate data and can barely play my enhancement shammy (my main since BC!) properly since they made such a complicated mess of it in TWW. Without some assistance it all goes to crap.

Next in Midnight tames: pangolins! In-game they're called "Pangos" so we're calling them that in our database.

There are 5 colours, all tameable.

They're classed as Scalehides, despite that otherwise being a family of reptilian creatures, but it's probably more a case of fitting them somewhere.
WoW: Midnight pangolin model. Resembling a real-world pangolin but with fangs, much heavier, pinecone-like scales, and a slightly more upright knuckle-walking posture. There are 5 colours: amber-orange, black, black-orange, red, and grey.

Grovecrawlers are an odd one to classify, since they clearly have a serpent base model (including tongue!) but they also have insectile crawly legs and a hard, woody carapce over the top.

So they could be placed in Carapids, but Serpents are a decent fit.
A grovecrawler - something like an upright serpent, but with several pairs of insectile legs and wooden scales and a bloom at the end of the tail. It has a teal and tan carapace and an exotic pink-blue bloom on its tail.

Wish we had a wild version of this new garden snail mount (coming in Midnight) to tame!
Four new garden snail mounts. All have a saddle on top of their shells. The shells look like cabbages and their bodies have a leaf- or scale-like covering. The colours are: Blue body with crimson shell, green body & shell, punk body with olive shell, orange body and shell.

IRL? I don't think so, though they can use their front legs as hands and do some bidepal stuff. The in-game ones are kind of knuckle-walkers

Also, fun thing worth noting; pangos have a sleeping animation, yet scalehides do NOT have the "Rest" ability for hunters to be able to make their scaly bois sleep. THIS IS CRIMINAL! Our wonderful lurking pet dev should totally give every pet the "Rest" ability!

Check out these amazing amazards. These new members of the Lizard family can be found in Zul Aman in Midnight. There are more colours but I picked out two of the brightest.
A tauren hunter in WoW: MIdnight with a pair of "amazard" lizard pets. They're large lizards with four rows of wicked spikes along their backs and somewhat turtle-like faces with horned noses.

One is magenta-purple with a bright green back, and the other tomato red with a lime green back.

As anticipated, these horned capybaras are a great addition to the Rodent family!

Yeah, that's what I'm assuming, too. We're just not sure where the skill will be learned for others, yet.

* As with snails, I expect more a matter of trying to make everything tameable that they can within the limits of a finite number of staff free and able to add new families. Which is appreciated!

Zul Aman is now open on the Midnight Alpha (Eversong now closed), so we get to see some new things!

Here's a selection of tameable pangolins - simply called 'pangos'.

They're classed as Scalehides, which may seem a bit odd for something that isn't a reptile but no stranger than snails as carapids*

Worth noting is that the devilsaptors (tyrannosaptors ingame) is that they have updated animations; they use the same animations as the Flarendo mount!
