Blaming the woman for wanting pain relief. Blaming her for *anything* that goes wrong with the pregnancy. They're promoting the idea of a "pure/natural" pregnancy where there is no medical intervention. I'd imagine epidurals and the like is on the chopping block somewhere in their agenda too.

I gambled on going towards the sun as it peeked here and there through the canopy far above. The Girl Scouts had been a non-starter for me as a kid— on account of me stealing random badges off other girls' sashes— but I at least knew that if it was still morning-ish then the sun had to be east-ish.

Oedipal concerns aside, the graphic design of this whole genre makes my eye twitch. Block of text with twenty different fonts and wildly varying sizes and throw in ribbon banners at random, god, it's so cluttered and ugly. At least they broke this one up with some halfassed clipart.
