I'm choosing "unwelcome" today, despite there being plenty of welcomes in Book 2. I loved writing scenes where each of my characters observes Tomb Sweeping Day and honours their ancestors in their own way.

Now and then, there's a scene that never seems quite right, no matter what I do. #amediting one of those right now. A heavy one with themes that demand to be done justice or it'll all feel hollow. I just finished another rewrite of that one. Fingers crossed, I'm still happy-ish with it tomorrow.
