I’m ambivalent on phone bans in schools, but it does irk me that much of the energy that could/should be spent addressing these foundational issues ⤵️ will now be spent arguing about phone policies & procedures.

So kids will still feel bored/alienated but now they can’t DM about it. Cool I guess?

This person is a charlatan. Why is there so much uncritical coverage of this obvious nonsense? Where is the actual journalism?

A.I. is changing classrooms. We spoke to the co-founder of Alpha Schools about how her private K-12 schools are using A.I. to generate personalized lesson plans and enabling teachers to spend their time motivating rather than teaching students. nyti.ms/3JHIZub

When you hear "Happy Monday!" but you haven't had your coffee.

A Peregrine Falcon stands with its back turned but glances over its shoulder with a fierce, unimpressed stare - as if someone just wished it a “Happy Monday” and it’s not having it. Its feathers are fluffed and its expression says: absolutely not.

And I have a YouTube series, Global Weirding, that explains how climate change affects extreme weather, what models can be used for, how CO2 is a pollutant, and more.

This is a great opportunity to use your voice to advocate for accurate info we need to plan for a safer, better future for us all.

Good news! Mr. Jekyll has finally decided on his dissertation topic in the field of Advanced Feline Evil:

“How to Keep an Entire House Up All Night Because I Want Attention.”

He’s also got a solid start on his appendix, “Bathroom destruction tactics during a 5AM time out.”

PhD pending.
