Did you know your MacBook has a sensor that knows the exact angle of the screen hinge?

June 28 marked my last day in Warsaw, coming short of 3 full years in the city. I enjoyed it a lot, but it's time for some changes – I will be staying in Poznań throughout July before moving to <redacted> in August. Will share more info soon, super excited about it!

My hypothesis here, from what I’ve seen, from what major genAI companies have stated, publicly, and from having worked in one of the very epicenters of it at Microsoft, is that the technology requires immense, ongoing investment and is simply not fundamentally profitable.

The open source ecosystem, and the Node.js project in particular, owes a debt of gratitude to Mikeal that few comprehend. He's already sorely missed.
It seems the word is out everywhere now...
My path briefly crossed with Mikeal and I think I would not be contributing to Node.js as much as I do now if I had never met him. It's sad to lose someone who has so much impact on so many people. RIP.
