I made this Foundation-themed tote bag for a friend but kept forgetting to actually post the pictures.. the art work is mostly from the recent TV show because I couldn't find original work by Asimov. Very happy with how it turned out, esp. since this was my first attempt at goldwork 🪡

It's utterly shocking that this could happen in a democracy.. Fantastic and engaging reporting and impressive perseverance in getting this story out by @lewisgoodall.com and @newsagents.bsky.social
Two governments took The News Agents to secret court for two years via a constitutionally unprecedented superinjunction to stop you from hearing this story.

The MoD is responsible for a data leak that put up to 100,000 Afghans at risk of death.

Blaming behaviour like this (or that Nazi salute) on being neurodivergent (autism in this case) is extremely offensive to the vast, vast majority of ND folk who don't go around harassing people.. makes me sick every time someone tries this 😡
"How do you get away with dropping your trousers, talking about your cock & then blaming your neurological diversity?"

Gregg Wallace has blamed allegations of inappropriate sexual behaviour on his autism diagnosis.

Emily & Jon aren't buying it.

Some nice positive news out of Florida for a change. Happy Pride everyone 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ and thanks for sharing @erininthemorning.com
1. Florida banned cities from lighting up bridges rainbow colors for Pride.

So the people of Jacksonville did it themselves using flashlights and gels.

They opened the drawbridge to block them.

So they marched to a different bridge.

The latest from S. Baum.

After Labour's lurch right on immigration now this.. why exactly are these people still trying to court Reform voters (who wouldn't vote for you anyway) while alienating their own base? It clearly worked very well for the Dems all these times..
A group of Labour MPs, peers and supporters write:

“We should legislate to root out DEI in hiring practices, sentencing decisions and wherever else we find it in our public bodies.”

Devastated to see how quickly this has arrived in the UK mainstream.

this is utterly terrifying.. I don't think I'll be able to suggest students (or anyone really) attend conferences in the US with good conscience for quite some time

I've heard so many stories like this in private, great to see Rachel putting it out there 👏
A friend included this anti-acknowledgement section on her PhD thesis. She also added the proposition: “Systematic bullying and undermining of girls and women in STEM starts early on and is the reason why they do not stay in science and related fields.”
Absurd we still need to go through this

Tally just ticked past 1900 signatures. Please keep spreading the word about the letter & asking people to sign. It's important to make the Royal Society aware (at their meeting on 03 March) just how much the scientific community wants them to speak up for their values. forms.gle/SfsDemyS8QhP...
