Fully agree, every time I played with it, it was also extremely useless. The only thing it could do halfway well is proofreading and there are less problematic alternatives. If the future really has to rely on large-scale intellectual property theft, I'm not sure I want any part in it..

the check is done client-side by polling a specific bsky.app endpoint as @uncenter.dev's link pointed out. I guess the neatest solution for android or iOS would be to recompile the app (which is opensource) without this check..?

yeah.. the reputation I sometimes see German trains having internationally is totally undeserved 😕 at least you get most of your money back in the UK for this kind of delay but Deutsche Bahn doesn't even do that

Pretending that ND people just can't help themselves but be repugnant is a very harmful stereotype, making this excuse deeply ableist! Holding harassers to account is important and so is not buying their excuses. kudos to @maitlis.bsky.social & @jonsopel1.bsky.social for pointing this out 😊
