When two ex-best friends are reluctantly crowned persons of honor, their petty feud escalates into all-out sabotage. When the bride vanishes a day before the wedding, they’re forced into a frantic search, only to discover the one thing they can’t sabotage is their feelings. #DVPit #romcom #MF #Black

A huge thank you to @alomshaha.bsky.social and Rebecca Struthers, on their launch for their book- ABOUT TIME.
A brilliant book concept for young readers, about the history of telling time and clocks.
The venue - Watches Of Switzerland on Regent Street was super cool!!
Take a bow, Alom and Rebecca...

This is unsurprising. When I first started on the patch in 2012, they needed two MWDs (workers) per rig. By the time I moved job two years later, one MWD was responsible for four rigs, via remote platforms etc. I was almost completely automated out in a tiny period of time.

Anytime folks bang on about Denmark’s gender equality and what not, I like to remind them of how they treat Greenlander folks. This story is terrible, but not surprising: www.theguardian.com/world/2025/a...

England doesn’t even have a map of who owns what land (individuals, not shell companies/obscure bodies) - imagine this!

Every year Icelandic tax records are open for a few days. And all the media outlets dig into them and write multiple stories about how much money some people made and how much they paid in taxes. We even have a special newspaper called The Salary Paper that only comes out once a year.

Yeh I’ve been looking at this for a while now!! Haven’t been able to make the jump tho…

My iPhone is all but unusable only four years after I bought it new. An iPhone 12 mini. It’s been laggy and slow for about two years, and no matter how much space I make on it, its battery lasts barely a few hours…this forced obsolescence makes me so mad. Build things to LAST!

Three women on a stage. Left to right, they are wearing: a red and patterned trouser; suit and cream sandals; a pale shirt and trousers, bright red shoes, and a black face mask; black top, white robe, and black and white patterened skirt, boots, and a headwrap. In the background is a pale purple screen with “Edinburgh International Book Festival” on the right, and the corner of a printed pamphlet and part of the auto-captioning visible at the top left. Two women (one in pale shirt, other in red and patterned trouser suit), one masked, in front of a blue screen. Projected on screen is a medieval world map and a zoomed-in detail of said map, partly overlaying the map. Dark-haired woman in a black face mask is engrossed in signing a pile of copies of a bright red book with a silvery mirror and black frame, entitled “Humans: A Monstrous History.” She sits at a desk covered in a black cloth. On the left is a brass-coloured desk lamp with a triangular shade.
