I was out for a drive the other night and noticed a tree had fallen down onto a power line.
It was after midnight, but I found the 24hr hotline for the utility company. I used my phone to get my exact location and report it.
I drove by the next day and the tree had been removed.
Society is neat.

The cardinals and woodpeckers are wary but they’ll get fairly close when there’s food around.

I guess he doesn’t really have to worry about alienating much of the Jeopardy audience; I can’t imagine that a show that rewards curiosity and broad knowledge has much appeal to the MAGA crowd.

I have no idea how photographers got good action shots with birds with analogue film cameras.

The configuration safety checks ensure that, when we turn on the electrics, stuff won’t start moving. Then comes the checks to establish power from the GPU.

Gotta watch out for those conditional altitude restrictions. Sometimes (such as in this case) they aren’t coded into the aircraft database and we may want to add them to the waypoint.

March schedules are out.
The pattern has, hopefully, reasserted itself and I can settle in for another season of general okay-ness.
I didn’t get the trips I wanted the most but I avoided the trips I disliked most. Typical mid-seniority stuff (my company has seniority-based scheduling).

It warmed up to around -2°C, so it was nice to get outside without having to bundle up that much. A light jacket and relatively thin gloves - I could’ve stayed out all day.
