on that note one thing i love about twitch is how you can make legit coin by just entertaining 300 or so people. that's a realistic number. you're like a band playing middle-sized venues. there are definitely still number chasing freaks there but the framework allows for earnest enclaves all over.
some of the more subtle cognitive rotting from twitter is this mutant understanding that all websites are a competition where everyone is vying to become the next god king and not just some feed you're wasting time with or posting cool animals
