Hey @support.bsky.team What is going on with Sarah Kendzior? Why was she suspended with no explanation? Are you doing this to lesser-known people that we’re never going to find out about?

And not that facts matter, but the Mag Mile isn't in decline because of crime — like at all. It's in decline because retail is in decline. But it's still a spectacle of wealth and commercialism. Tourists from all over the world merrily shop there. It's not a remotely scary or run-down place.

If your religion says you can’t do something then don’t do it. Don’t get the law to force other people to conform to your religion.

Muslims can’t drink alcohol but I’ve never heard of a Muslim going to the Supreme Court to get neighborhood bars shut down.

It's me again, just putting it out there that I am going to need space in 2026 for at least 5 events that can hold at least 100 people. Looking for accessible and also CHEAP spaces in NYC. None of the convenings will be charging people to participate. Thank you.

Dem voters are going to spin their wheels calling for Schumer to resign while whoever would take over for him would do the exact same things he's done. The. same. things. The rot is pervasive.

Everything is a lot right now so lets all take a break and guarantee everyone secure housing in clean neighborhoods served by frequent public transit, timely and attentive free healthcare, developmentally appropriate universal education/childcare and excellent public mess halls that’d be great.

This is precisely why we cannot have dems caving without legally binding ACA subsidy extensions.

This is on Republicans. All we have to do is not be complicit in their scheme. @baldwin.senate.gov

We will primary dems who cave.
This is the price that a family in Eau Claire will have to pay for their health care plan next year, thanks to Republicans. Does that look affordable to you?

This is the last thing families need on top of their already skyrocketing costs.

The smartest thing a politician can do in 2026 is to come up with a bold plan for shoring up and EXPANDING public libraries. Call it Project 2050. It's a way to reintroduce the grammar of commoning and the commons to a new generation in a way they can easily grasp. Such low hanging fruit.

Around half of Californians rent. Having a separate training and licensing system for rental property management, where the focus is actually on rental property management, would go a long way in improving the quality of services.

A comment we heard from tenant organizers was that in some cases, tenant organizing also helped landlords.

There were some landlords who didn't know that the property manager they hired had allowed their building to decay, until tenants organized and brought the issue to the forefront.
We also received an update on how tenants are organizing using the Right to Organize that was part of Berkeley's Measure BB passed by voters last year. So far, students and seniors are among the groups doing the most organizing. Learn how it works at rentboard.berkeleyca.gov/rights-respo...

"We are pivoting our industrial base to a wartime footing."

Saying the quiet part out loud, once again. This means siphoning more and more money out of the pockets of the taxpayers and into the coffers of the giant corporations and their shareholders.

They are killing your healthcare for this.

My theory re: the refusing to pay SNAP benefits thing (aside from the fact that they're a bunch of truly malicious pieces of garbage) is that they've already spent the money.

They stole it and probably that's what they used to pay ICE with and now they're scrambling.

Every time a tech entrepreneur says “we don’t need to stop global warming because AI will” I want to slap them with a fish that says, “if a superhuman intelligence came into being and we asked it how to stop global warming, it would say ‘stop burning fossil fuels, you fools.’”
I’m going to regret asking this, but… what mechanism are people proposing whereby AI will “end scarcity”?

This feels like literal underpants gnomes thinking, and as I never tire of pointing out, it’s being driven by a lot of the same actual people
AI could end scarcity, end humanity - or boost trend growth by 0.2 percentage points
